On October 9, 57 boxes of golden tea from Shibadong Village, Huayuan County were transported to Hong Kong in China Post’s dedicated vehicles under the Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong Single E-lock Scheme. This is the first time that Shibadong Village has exported its golden tea to Hong Kong.
Shi Jia, head of Shibadong Qixiu Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., said that the batch of exported tea is black tea produced in Shibadong Village, with bright red tea soup, rich honey aroma, and high added value.
In order to facilitate the smooth export of the Shibadong Golden Tea, Xiangxi Customs provided assistance during the whole process from registration of planting bases and processing factories, and inspection and testing to customs declaration.
Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong Single E-lock Scheme has opened up a new path for high-quality agricultural and food products from Xiangxi Prefecture to be exported outside mainland China. The scheme was launched in Changsha on June 13 this year.
Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong Single E-lock Scheme has multiple advantages. Under the scheme, transportation vehicles can directly enter and exit Hong Kong, and direct trains can travel back and forth between Hunan, Guangdong, and Hong Kong within 24 hours.
